How Herder works and what it costs

How it works

A GPS collar on every cow. It checks in every 15 minutes on a battery that runs for months.
One gateway at the house. On your home Wi-Fi; long-range radio covers about 2 km in open country. No cell service needed in the pasture.
Your phone. This map, plus a text the moment a cow needs you.

This demo herd is simulated: 100 cows on real satellite imagery of open Flint Hills grassland in Kansas. The fences, cows, collars and alerts are generated to show how Herder works, and they move on the real clock.
